Bonus points for the attempted use of auserkoren.
i love auserkoren 😍
thanks
🙃
nicht placement tho 😢
I can already see one wait
the original sentence is the quote from the one president right
Shouldn't you know JFK, Arizona? 🤔
Wir haben auf dem Mond zu gehen auserkoren und machen die andere Dinge in diesem Jahrzehn, weil sie nicht einfach sind, aber weil die hart/schwer sind. there for the nicht?
🤔
wo es Liebe gibt, gibt es Leben
so I just didn't say anything
JFK the moonman
if that's not right i'm out of ideas
how the heck did you get to auserkoren though
dabs irl
can you please show me
And I was like "oh nice"
It's a nice word, Flappy, but I'd suggest swapping it out. ^^
how you searched for it?
she searched "auserkoren"
i am really interested how you find this as the first result
nice
why did you search for chosen
^
idk tbh should've seached for "choose" first
In drei Worten, ich kann alles ich habe über Leben gelernt sagen: es macht weiter (just fuck me up)
I can't find auserkoren unless I scroll. I can find erkiesen, though, interestingly enough.
Is the original quote not "we have chosen...."? I don't know my quotes 😩
LOL
did you come to search for chosen
yep
No, Arizona.
but how
IDK, I back translated from flops a bit
what in your mind made you search for chosen instead of to choose
lel
But you put present perfect, Casca :^(
😮
Or wait no
oh
Preterit
lel
"We chose"
en=Infinitiv duh
We choose to go the moon and do the other things in this decade, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.
Casca made a typo?
where
yap
Flappy, you are aware that I corrected that, yes?
is present perfect
Das einzige Dinge, das notwendig für den Triumph des Bösen ist, ist, dass gute Mennschen nichts machen.
ist, ist, dass seems suuuuper awkward
@shy bobcat A few, in fact. It's not my day today.
People making typos? Unthinkable 😮 😱
Yeah Casca, but I saw it after posting my answer
😉
One of a billion possible translations of "thing" 👀
i dont believe you
I promise
Das einzige Ding, das notwendig für den Triumph des Bösen ist, ist, dass gute Mennschen nichts machen.
it is one possible declination if that helps you
i've seen "das Ding"
Dinge is plural
"Infinitive"? 🤔
you cheater
Solet meant nominative
Been meaning to ask, what's the distribution of "Dinge" vs. "Dinger"
as te plural of Ding
Ok so what other mistakes are there?
I am confusion as well
well
Bell: In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. In drei Worten, ich kann alles ich habe über Leben gelernt sagen: es macht weiter (in case someone who didn't give me the quote wants to help)
well
"Mennschen" has a typo
^
i wonder which typo
^^
kann ich
😦
Bell, how many conjugated verbs has a clause?
i really struggle with that
Dan Baniel.
What happens to the verb and pronoun in the second clause, Bell?
oh wait was I not supposed to say that
yes you weren't
is this another V2?
shit

okay someone just tell me again: when do you push it to the end and when do you switch the verb and noun? I will write it down I promise
Ok, so "Menschen". But what about like the sentence structure? It feels weird
weil sie einfach nicht sind
When do we ban her?
I am sorry 😦
they just AREN'T Arrem is that too hard to understand?
@sudden panther das können wir nicht tun, weil ihre Deutschkenntnisse einfach nicht sind
@red pewter [in drei Worten] is what you've set as the first 'part' or 'idea' in your sentence
that's the first part
so verb comes second
so if there's any fluff, verb next. but if it's a dependent clause, verb end?
i just want to make sure.
Still, how many flops in my sentence?
9
NINE?
Nein.
Nein, neun
Nah, I just made up a random number, I'm too lazy to scroll too.
lel
Bell: In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. In drei Worten, kann ich alles ich habe über Leben gelernt sagen: es macht weiter
I was scared Arrem ;___;
It's actually 11.
remembered what I needed to know and then left so I don't have the practical knowledge anymore
Wir haben auf dem Mond zu gehen auserkoren und machen die andere Dinge in diesem Jahrzehn, weil sie nicht einfach sind, aber weil die hart/schwer sind. count the nicht mistake as well
pfft Arrem
ceebee u need more wörds
stop using auserkoren flops
oh yeah
I'm too lazy to scroll
Arrem irl:
I count 4, but maybe there's more
so cbell you might want to use more clauses
Das einzige Ding, das notwendig für den Triumph des Bösen ist, ist, dass gute Menschen nichts machen.
So. Sentence structure. How is it?
more commas?
Does scroll lock even do anything at this point?
WIR HABEN AUFM MOND ZUNG GEHEN AUSERKOREN!!!!!!111111ELF
4? Oh wow.
yep
What does scroll lock even do?
YEAH
okay, thank you
"Aufm" best word
In an interview from the early 1980s, PC magazine asked an executive of keyboard manufacturer Key Tronic what was the key's purpose, to which the executive r...
oh actually 5, two flops revolve around the same word lel

Flöps
first flop: no más auserkoren por favor
it means auf einem
i actually use it if i have push-to-talk activated
@hot cloak no, auf dem
Bell: In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. In drei Worten, ich kann alles sagen, habe ich über Leben gelernt : es macht weiter
Daniel, you really say aufm? That's a meme.
scroll lock is nice since it's one of the few toggle keys on the keyboard
Nemo gives purpose. ❤
aufm is not a meme
I think a lot of people say it
What.
yes
Ich gehe jeden Tag auf dem Mond 🌙 🏃

can you stop calling everything a meme flops
Oh wow TIL.
wait
okay but now i want to put ich über Leben habe gelernt because dependent clause
@pine ginkgo this is about as bad as her kappas
auf nem is the one I'm thinking of
yes
I thought it didn't exist
but i am genuinely confused
I am sorry
Can we please go back to correcting flöpsl's sentence 😩
Getting close, Bell.
What about mine 😥
Too many pupils 👀
yours too, but flöp is famous here
yay! how else can i improve
Since it might not seem too obvious, I'll just mention it. Use a was in that clause.
Wir haben auf dem Mond zu gehen auserkoren und machen die andere Dinge in diesem Jahrzehn, weil sie nicht einfach sind, aber weil die hart/schwer sind.
as I said, first mistake, pls get rid of auserkoren
sure
maybe
All I learnt about [...] -> All that I learnt about [...]
alles, was ich ...
okay
and fix the tense as well @ocean robin
about __
What verb should I use though?
just as a tip might work
deciden
whatever verb you use, put it in the present tense
wow Arrem
@sudden panther
Use auserkiesen
@lost dagger 👀
when there is a need to define what alles is basically
Aussuchen. There.
Bell: In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. In drei Worten, ich kann alles sagen, habe ich was über Leben gelernt : es macht weiter
I remember someone posting on /r/German about how it was a terrible verb and shouldn't exist
it's usually alles, was..
Lol. No.
everything, that..
who was the "Lol. No." meant for
for snekku
oh
I thought it was for füchsl tbh bc I don't think "aussuchen" is the right word either 😛
It was meant for Floppsel.
oh
oh
oh
yeah lol
oh
wat
aussuchen

Why is it not right?
i saw that
Bell: In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. In drei Worten, ich kann sagen alles, was ich über Leben habe gelernt : es macht weiter
but no
i might have just missed the mark further
Because you such yourself a shirt aus. But you don't aussuchen to go to the moon.
Ok maybe I misremembered but I thought it was erkiesen
technically, if you modifiy it... you can use aussuchen
oops
but i don't think flops will come to this
i missed the wrong one
so no
In drei Worten, ikann ich sagen alles, was ich über Leben habe gelernt : es macht weiter
Oh so you mean decide, not choose 🤔
Syntax is still the biggest issue, Bell.
"She can't, because she flops everytime"
no
i'm struggling.
sich entscheiden? 🤔
[...], kann ich sagen alles, [...] is still jumbled a little.
Found that for "decide"
dezidieren
decide on something floops
Huh?
though sich entscheiden works
eine (oder auch mehrere) Alternativen aus einer Vielzahl von Möglichkeiten wählen
I just feel like aussuchen doesn't have the right sense to it to translate the sentence, but if you say so luna
So we stay at choose?
dezidieren is an actual word by the way.
I think that kann ich alles sagen sounds better if i'm gonna do that
so i guess before it's get too messy
lol what
just use sich entscheiden
but then i can't get alles at the end for daniel's tip
@pine ginkgo before it gets* 😉
Prepare for wir entscheiden sich
wtf
I didn't see Daniel's tip, so I don't understand it.
thanks teeeis
Bell: In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. In drei Worten, kann ich alles sagen, was ich über Leben habe gelernt : es macht weiter
idk
nvm
we have, i just keep copy/pasting the wrong one
On to the last clause (before the colon).
i thought we were past it 🤔
Wir entscheiden uns auf dem Mond zu gehen und machen die andere Dinge in diesem Jahrzehn, weil sie nicht einfach sind, aber weil die hart/schwer sind. dat?
tho comma 👀
oh no bell :(
Am I a meme or is there an extra comma in there?
Leben needs an article, Bell.
at the befginning?
At the snekkining.
das Leben?
b-but
We choose to go to the moon and do the other things in this decade, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.
It's a Kennedy quote.
We choose to go the moon [...]
Bell: In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. In drei Worten, kann ich alles sagen, was ich über das Leben habe gelernt : es macht weiter
Solet was quicker. ^^
the original quote was from a Nike ad campaign
@sudden panther yes IK, but I don't have it memorised
Gehen is the only thing I can think of.
The syntax after das Leben is wrong.
I'm revoking your Americaning permit,Ari. Sorry.
@sudden panther 😦
really
it's not whether or not it's a location that makes it dative
gehen is not the issue, i don't think
Fan Blöpsel.
You're actually going to the moon
is putting it back to was habe ich....gelernt better?
It's whether it's dative or not that makes it dative.
I am way too confused about those rules for Akk and Dat x.x
helpful as ever
Taco Bell gelernt isn't the last word
Only the part after das Leben was wrong, Bell. ^^
So if you're staying, it's Dat, and if you're are going somewhere, it's Akk
Let me put "auf dem Mond" then?
Ban.
wat phone
don't
So how come we use zu with dative then if it's movement, Floop???!
It's Dat. if you use any random verb and specify the location you're at.
i don't know why it's wrong O_O
but we need zu for this one
ich habe gelernt is I have learned, I don't know how to fix it
and you used neither
Maybe the moon is a country.
Why did I say "on the moon"?
@shy bobcat By the way, I was right about aufm being auf einem too
I am crazy sometimes
sometimes
"sometimes"
@hot cloak oh nice
If you're a verb, when you wake up from a coma you want to get as far away from that comma as you can
Wir entscheiden uns zu den Mond zu gehen und machen die andere Dinge in diesem Jahrzehn, weil sie nicht einfach sind, aber weil die hart/schwer sind.
Bad Casca. The comma has nothing to do with it. Aber has a comma too. 😛
ZU DEN
ban flops
Oh jesus.
flopsel
Flops. I literally asked you a question about zu a minute ago.
do me a favour
Zu+Akk now bois
when you correct a mistake
can you asgagegzaetgaega read over it again
and check you actually did it correctly
I can't just say c'est la vie, Arrem.
I'll try :')
Wir entscheiden uns zum Mond zu gehen und machen die andere Dinge in diesem Jahrzehn, weil sie nicht einfach sind, aber weil die hart/schwer sind. okay
Bell: In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. In drei Worten, kann ich alles sagen, was ich über das Leben gelernt habe : es macht weiter
Well, blame the Relativpronomen, not the comma. 😛
I know it's a shortening
das has vanished. 🤔
I don't mean that I mean
yeah
Bell: In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. In drei Worten, kann ich alles sagen, was ich über das Leben gelernt habe : es macht weiter
i'm so sorry
it's mostly used for auf dem
Only one mistake left!
And me? And me?
@ocean robin die andere Dinge 🤔
how would people usually shorten auf einem then
but if you ... speak "unclear" it can also sound like you say auf einem

zu machen is the wrong verb.
or do they not
auf nem
auf nem
Well I thought that meant "the other things:
[...] it goes on, Bell.
Unless there's a better word for that?
es spazierengeht weiter.
^
okay, so "it continues" isn't an appropriate translation
Remember when I got you to use spazieren gehen, Flops? :^)
@ocean robin not the problem, as ever
let me rethink it
grammar
We choose to go to the moon and do the other things in this decade, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.
yeeeah arrem
is the "the" for other things... really there?
The problem is cases?
It is, Solet.
Because those other things are specified I think, Solet.
He's specifically addressing certain other things.
Look at Ari being the bully now.
@ocean robin die andere Dinge, do you see the issue
Which is why the the is there.
yeah
Floop never sees the issue.
but you don't need it
We won't. Check the table and tell us.
^^
do less "thought" and more "checked that"
I'm just going to plug this again: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jWl5-kkqF3FQLDzrz8XLBJj7hvPFQK7MT5SYEDGK65E/edit

But Ariiii! Checking things requires actual effort! Who has time for thaat these days.
insert Dr. Flop story
Bell: In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. In drei Worten, kann ich alles sagen, was ich über das Leben gelernt habe : es dauert an
It's -en ;___;
Imagine how much time she would save if she learned it instead 😬
also bell, can you tell me why there is a comma at the beginning
I learnt it a bit, henbri
@pine ginkgo i can already tell you the answer is "because the english had one" 😬
because I'm a native english speaker and I suck 😄
At least for weak, I guess?
stop sucking bell
wow
okay luna, just for you
😄
thanks
I feel ya cbell
appreciated
Bell: In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. In drei Worten kann ich alles sagen, was ich über das Leben gelernt habe : es dauert an
English sucks
Wir entscheiden uns zum Mond zu gehen und machen die anderen Dinge in diesem Jahrzehn, weil sie nicht einfach sind, aber weil die hart/schwer sind.
Next? 😛
why do you switch from "sie" to "die"
bad dadniel
between "weil sie nicht einfach sind" and "aber weil die hart/schwer sind"
also check for typos, please, flops
That was a fokken typo
it was I swear
Bell: In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. In drei Worten kann ich sagen, alles was ich über das Leben gelernt habe : es dauert an
When do we fan Bloop?
Another one? Hdhedf seriously?
yes
Die Beschaffenheit der Solaranlage können wir nicht checken, weil sie einfach nicht ist.
Don't fix things that aren't broken, Daniel. ^^
I shouldn't be trying to help here my German sucks
😦
you can daniel
you just have to be confident
Bell: In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. In drei Worten kann ich alles sagen, was ich über das Leben gelernt habe : es dauert an :?
pats Flappo
Wir entscheiden uns zum Mond zu gehen und machen die anderen Dinge in diesem Jahrzehnt, weil sie nicht einfach sind, aber weil sie hart/schwer sind.
flops found a typo
😄
😄
ugh that hurts :(
PROGRESS
oh wait
do I get a checkmark :?
Who's teaching bell here? She broke her sentence and nobody stops her.
anyway, word order, flops
I feel like the nicht should be moved and aber should be replaced but idk my german is not good
and i'm tired
those two go hand in hand really
man
I dunno that alles still feels bad to me
casca 😦
alles feels bad to me daniel too but I cope
look at the original sentence, flops
mein Deutsch saugt wann ich bin müden
Word order? Nicht placement?
lol
don't take that seriously
Yes, Flops.
lol knew it
if it's not fixed please help me fix it ❤
I'd say maybe
the nicht placement is different in the english one too
so... that's a huge clue for you
yeah, your weil sie nicht einfach sind means "because they are not easy", the original says IIRC "not because they are easy"
Remember what you had before, Bell? es macht weiter. Only the verb really needed changing, the rest was fine.
[...] it goes on.
No.
Oh my god
that's what you had before
🤔
we've gone backwards
oh
where is not
the placement is very peculiar
Nicht weil?
@pine ginkgo well it's not at all peculiar if she recognised the structure being used 👀
Wat wat
"Ich kann sagen, alles was ich über das Leben gelernt habe, in drei Worten erklären: "
is maybe what I'd say but I'm bad
Bell: In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. In drei Worten kann ich alles sagen, was ich über das Leben gelernt habe : es geht weiter :?
nicht weil [...] guys?
yay!!! ❤
weil sie einfach nicht sind means something like because they just don't exist
🤔
yeah
They don't exist?
as I memed earlier: Die Beschaffenheiten der Solaranlage können wir nicht überprüfen, weil sie einfach nicht sind

I try 😢
anyway do that
Makes sense, Ari, you can't check things that don't exist.
and see if you remember the other thing you learned the last week
Wir entscheiden uns zum Mond zu gehen und machen die anderen Dinge in diesem Jahrzehnt, nicht weil sie einfach sind, aber weil sie hart/schwer sind.
oooh
mika was here for solaranlage right
Yes.
do you see it, flops?
Wir entscheiden uns zum Mond zu gehen und machen die anderen Dinge in diesem Jahrzehnt, nicht weil sie einfach sind, sondern sie hart/schwer sind.
wait
eh
word order now?
where did weil go 👀
🤔
You lost a word.
Sondern weil? 🤔
Arizona you're spending too much time with Korea
okay then

Have you ever been far as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
Wir entscheiden uns zum Mond zu gehen und machen die anderen Dinge in diesem Jahrzehnt, nicht weil sie einfach sind, sondern weil sie hart/schwer sind.
Word order
mmh?
@pine ginkgo Wtf was that sentence
Wow, Solet is now C424
may I please have another sentence :?
Have you fixed the comma in the last one?
Good. Because he didn't count it as a mistake the first time.
she got ✅d so
Can Basca.
Aan Brrem.
Yes but you cloned the A.
ye
Dammit Daniel. Can't do anything right.
https://i.imgur.com/WSflwLI.png One day I'll get this up to 100.
Wir entscheiden uns zum Mond zu gehen und machen die anderen Dinge in diesem Jahrzehnt, nicht weil sie einfach sind, sondern weil sie sind hart/schwer.? Or sondern + verb?
wut is happen
uh
weil
i think you just ignore mikah
Think about it for a moment
Depends.
Wir entscheiden uns zum Mond zu gehen und machen die anderen Dinge in diesem Jahrzehnt, nicht weil sie einfach sind, sondern weil sie hart/schwer sind. okay then.
Mika meant first clause I think
We choose to go to the moon and do the other things in this decade, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.
original was this
🤔
Flop needs a comma
"do the other things in this decade" - is this a part of "we choose to"?
nope
Ignore me, then.
otherwise there would be a to
i know what you mean though mikuh
i thought so at first
Wir entscheiden uns, zum Mond..
only if you really wanted to be picky tho
I know I know
Optional, I think
I thought it was part of it. We decide to ... do these things
But I mitggghve misunderstood
No I think you're right
it's likely optional
but I think most would probably not use the comma
I'd almost be happy enough if English was wiped from my brain and nothing was replaced even if it meant never being able to learn a foreign language apart from it
it's that cancerous
You're done with flappy and bell?
best if you just add a comma every 3 words to be safe
Das einzige Dinge, das notwendig für den Triumph des Bösen ist, ist, dass gute Menschen nichts machen.
Can you tell me what you think of the sentence structure here then?
Luna I know the feeling
fuck
HENBRI
I copied the wrong thing
don't copy it
:D
How would you structure it, Solet?
Can nicht notwendig placement change?
yeah
dw
", is that.."
Is there a name for a rule or reason why it's Wir entscheiden uns and not just Wir entscheiden? .... Is it because entscheiden uns is like... decide to ourselves?
oh
It's funny how to sit can also be reflexive in Irish English
lol
I sat myself down
or wait
is that all English
🤔
it is
I think
I know a lot of Americans say that
southerners
crass?
it's like too similar to be not taken from German
when something was really awesome or something like that
Can I have another translationni? o/
class?
class
like most Irish slang
Mika it's not a new thing like copying German
We all said that when we were 5 year olds
We say that in Norwegian too
Not sure if klasse or krass
It might have just stayed in Irish English for some bizarre reason
Friend of mine tried to feign an Irish accent by just replacing every vowel with "I"
🤔
also we have a term which is really useful
I don't know how the rest of the anglosphere deals without "to give out to sb."
To give out?
What does that mean first...?
that's whack
🤔
In Norwegian that means to publish 🤔
sounds like the opposite of done in
I don't understand the explanation, sadly, Daniel.
a teacher gives out to a student after they did something wrong
means the teacher is like
giving the student some kind of a talk getting mad at them for what they did
@quasi merlin
?
That's arguring, can't we say that?
best just forget about it if you're outside the country
Gimme role
*arguing
I'm not learning German xD
It's not?
giving out is more one sided
What are you then?
"kind of"
K-kind of?
I have German Passport

And I live in Germany
since what age
I'm German
so since birth?
Can you speak the language though?
okay then
I'd let it pass
^
I speak fluently
seriously no difference in native when you start at that age
I work as a translator
Yes baby
That was really roundabout lol
:mmlol:
I can translate German - Korean - English
I think I've seen some Korean in #other-languages
^
Can I have another translationni?
Arrem? Mikah? Daniel?
same please
Me as well
I want to work hard today,I don't know why
Are you guys on Duolingo? I need some friends to get a pointless achievement 😛
I am not, but I can sign up if you want to ^^
i don't know how to make friends
"Irl" 😦
cause there are no people in norway
oh there it is
😦
cbell9110
norwegian people are nice
I've never met a Norwegian I didn't like.
just don't let them cook

friends
when i go to germany in a few months
i want to visit somewhere else
do I go to the Netherlands/Denmark, or go further away to see the lights?
The northern lights?
You will go to Germany soon?
i so wanna see the aurora at some point in my life
Ye
You need to go pretty far north
god, I am so happy fot you :')
in Norway or Sweden or Finland
I'm going to Germany from Dec 30-Jan 15 ❤
but i think it would be easier to go to canada for you, cbell
And sad for me because I still wait
When I go to Germany, I'll visit France, kidnapp Floppo and have her locked in a basement to draw cuteso things for me for all eternity.
Are we bad cooks, Nemo? 🤔
👀 👀
Go to Australia.
sounds good krypti
yeahhhh but that's less fun 😄 I am trying to get my 12th new country in!
oh my krypti
too much fish for my taste
Salmon? Salmon!!!1!1
i love it
Salmon is best fish
https://m.popkey.co/de2d33/vkZO9.gif Flops are you finished drawing yet
but cold fish 😑
that face 👀
Cold fish is, meh for me, I agree Nemo
now you're using too many commas in English flops
I have a special one for you.
Ooooh!
what might young children say instead of 'subtract'
can someone help me understand this
) Eine Person (Masse mP = 60 kg) läuft mit einer Geschwindigkeit von 6 m/s (i) einem reibungsfrei rollenden Wagen (Masse mW = 90 kg) nach bzw. (ii) ihm entgegen und springt bei erreichen des Wagens auf ihn auf. Wie gross ist die gemeinsame Geschwindigkeit von Person und Wagen, wenn der Wagen zuvor eine Geschwindigkeit von 3 m/s hatte?
the wording is confusing as hell
👀
👀
what part pengu dear
nach bzw. (ii)
to take away
oh
till the end of that sentence
I was gonna say Minus

also minus
- you jump on a care in the same direction
- you jump on a car in the opposite direction
isn't it like a fancy oder here?
so it's like respectively?
it's nice to see natives writing in funny grammar in comment sections
reminds me that they didn't have to go through what I do with grammar
in this case yeah
lol
u looky foks
lucky
You don't have to understand difficult grammar to use difficult grammar
- Illness comes express and creeps away again like a snail. 🐌
=_=
Some East Asians would say the same about me and English but I just find it hard to imagine how a gender and all the declension in a sentence just comes to you instantly
😂 Don't blame me
Flappy
is English easy
😄
ye
also every German I meet seems to think English is easy
not to mention Scandinavians
I can say yes, even if verbs with prepositions are quite difficult for meh.
Like to give/ to give up/ to give to/to give away...
stoff like that isn't difficult but hard to learn for me
there is a little similarity with those and seperable verbs in German
it's a feature of Germanic languages
Because in French, this kind of verb is rare
Yep.
but those kind of verbs aren't near as common in English as in seperable ones in German
Seperable verbs are like
Like for to give (to) = donner (à)
To give up = abandonner
To give away = away
So much of German vocab
Good thing that verbs in -ieren have a French root, it helps
the funny thing right
is that I don't feel like I'm uh
I don't feel like I'm using a language when I'm using English
Have we banned Floop yet?
I feel like my thoughts are being directly transmitted and their form just happens to look like English
lol
It's funny, Norwegian doesn't really have separable verbs, but we've stolen a ton of the ones German has. Some of them have become inseparable, while some are always separated. Some even have different meanings in the separated and inseparable forms
drink / trinken
yeah see the thing is
I think native languages are stored in different parts of the brain
So I never had that problem
Sometimes I write "drinken" :^^^)
it's more likely to happen frequently if you're dealing with two similar learnt languages
