yea reading groups are the most common, the format there is always going around reading a bit from a german text, then trying to translate it; there’s always natives or C level learners around to help explain things that don’t make sense. these are offered for different levels, but from what I can tell sth like A2-B1 is the most common target audience; but beginner and high level things also happen sometimes.
grammar lessons and the likes aren’t as popular mostly because no one wants to organize them
