#Ideas for improving the beginner experience and keeping new players

I've thought about what I'd improve in KovaaK's and how to keep new players easily, as I've seen soooooo many new players quit and never come back because of confusion / lack of direction.
And that's been people who has joined discords such as KovaaK's or Voltaic, so there must be even more who quit before discovering a discord server.
These are ofc just my thoughts, I don't expect anyone to care or do anything with it, just wanted to let it out

TLDR:

#1 a quick FAQ in the opening menu
#2 make benches for everything they want to improve at, overall aim, tac fps, apex, ow, etc - and it being the first thing they see when opening Kovaaks!
#3 benchmark visual improvements + leaderboards for each bench you'll make :)
#4 Remove gun, bullet traces and put in a good visual theme by default

#

#1 a quick FAQ in the opening menu - shown in the screenshot below.
(I can't state how many insanely confused new players there are, the amount of sensitivity and fov questions I've seen is wild.)

Have an infobox or something you can click on, with simple questions like:

"What do I need to play to improve my aim for overall aim, valorant, cs, apex..... etc"
With the answer being a benchmark for each game as I'll state in #2 :))

"recommended fov"

val/ow 103.

"But what if I play cs on 4:3, should I still..."

"What sensitivity should I use"
Explain whats good for improvement, whats good for score optimising... idk, gl with this one

"Will changing sensitivity fuck with my muscle memory" (💀 )

idk what else to add here, but there shouldn't be too many questions, just a handful, 10 at MAX.
Basically what people need to know so they don't alt f4

#2 as I've showed in the screenshot, make benches for everything they want to improve at, overall aim, tac fps, apex, ow, etc

You have a fuck ton of useful scenarios, you could easily make a playlist for overall aim, tac fps, etc.
You don't need to make new scenarios, maybe adjust a few scenarios - but that might not even be needed.

There's so many playlists and scenarios made for specific games - just take the useful scenarios and put em in the benchmark

When new players open KovaaK's they'll see "valorant benchmark" and know what to play.
Ofc have the scenarios be useful for improvement, that goes without saying ^^

#3 Add colours to the benchmarks + leaderboard

  • I've shown in the screenshot what I mean by adding colours - essentially just doing what the communities are doing, using voltaic s5 as an example in game benchmark.
But basically just don't have it be all white, its very confusing as to what your rank is and the progression of seeing new colours is entirely gone.
    It looks dull.

  • Have an in game leaderboard for each benchmark
In the leaderboard it would be cool if overall rank, complete rank and energy was shown.
