I tried making a concept of a Mob for Minecraft which is now going to be known as The Deceptive Simulacrum.

#

The Deceptive Simulacrum at its first stage pretends to be a hostile mob with no flaws nor any changes to their design, this replica of the hostile mob will act and perish like the original hostile mob. If it hits you then you're infected. There will be no potion effect nor any indication to show that you're infected.

#

The second stage of The Deceptive Simulacrum would start once you or the infected player rests in a bed within an enclosed area (Your base)... It will encase the real you in a replica of yourself where you would play Minecraft normally, without realizing that you're just feeding The Deceptive Simulacrum and allowing it to grow.

#

The third stage is where The Deceptive Simulacrum begins to infect any Mobs in the area of the enclosed area (Expanding the base will only increase its reach). It will consume these Mobs and then create modified replicas of them. The infected player would begin to realize the difference as the peaceful mobs that drop food would begin to drop double or even triple the amount as if the player has looting 5 on their sword or hand. Hostile mobs would either ignore or attempt to attack the infected player but deal small to no damage.

#

The infected player would only see these infected mobs as the original mobs that they once were.

#

The Fourth stage is where The Deceptive Simulacrum would begin to modify the infected player, granting them immense strength, speed boost, jump boost and resistance as well as inflicting a deadly poison 4 effect on non-infected mobs and players (The infected player won't be able to see this effect). The Deceptive Simulacrum is beginning to grow out of the infected player so it can spread even further.

#

The Fifth stage is where the infected player realizes that they're not fully in control of their actions as they begin to auto-complete the jobs they have previously done (The Deceptive Simulacrum has learnt their patterns) and is then booted into a dimension in between The Deceptive Simulacrum's and theirs. The infected player will now finally realize that they've been infected and all they've been doing wasn't exactly what they were perceiving. They now have the choice to save everyone while all the non-infected players fight a full invasion of modified abominations as The Deceptive Simulacrum begins to break out of its enclosed cocoon.

#

The Final stage determines the fate of the world that The Deceptive Simulacrum resides within. The infected player is given the choice to save everyone while sacrificing themselves to serve The Deceptive Simulacrum or Give in and allow The Deceptive Simulacrum to take full control and join the invasion and finish the fight once and for all.

#

The first choice is the good choice as the infected player can be saved as they prevent The Deceptive Simulacrum from breaking out. The way to save the infected player is similar to curing a zombie villager... The Deceptive Simulacrum will be aware that you're trying to take its lifeline away from it and will defend itself as it transforms the enclosed area into a twisted brain-melting labyrinth that doesn't really follow the rules of space, time and reality. The second choice would just be defeat as it transforms into an ever-shifting mass of destructive forces that consume everything in its path.

#

The Deceptive Simulacrum won't drop anything when killed... A part from a lot of experience orbs due to all the mobs that it consumed. Once it's defeated, it won't come back... Unless 12 Minecraft days have past then the players have to be on high alert to prevent it before it happens again.

I had this idea with me for a long time so hopefully Preston will see this.
