#Actual wheel changes we need (Curious what wheels have ATM.)

  1. Dynamic Suspension Damping
Wheels with stiff suspension "snap" to the ground, causing jitter.
In Air: Soft damping lets wheels move freely (no resistance).
On Ground: Firmer damping stabilizes wheels

  2. Delayed Motor Torque
Why: Wheels apply full torque instantly on partial contact, causing spins.
Brief Delay (0.2–0.5s) after landing before torque kicks in.
    Wheels "settle" before accelerating.

  3. RPM Ground-Speed Matching
Why: Wheels spinning fast mid-air skid when touching ground.
Sync wheel RPM to ground speed as contact happens.
No sudden spins; wheels roll naturally.

  4. Adaptive Friction
Why: High friction during partial contact causes jerky "grabbing".
Lower Friction while airborne, normal friction when grounded.
Wheels should glide into contact without snagging.

  5. Downward Stabilization Force
    Why: bots bounce on landing.
Small downward force "plants" wheels on contact.
    Prevents bouncing without affecting flight.

  6. Anti-Flip Systems
Problem: Bots tip over due to uneven weight or thruster torque / grip
Auto-Leveling: Add a PID controller to apply counter-torque when tilt exceeds a threshold, based on some effect like being extremely close to the ground.
Reduce torque if wheels spin too fast
    Smoothly ramp torque over time
    Dampen sudden force spikes

  7. Transition thruster power into wheel power near the ground.
Skip dealing with thrust and the issues it presents altogether near the ground and just fake the effect entirely for directions like forward, while wheels are in contact with the ground.

i hope there are spoiler to keep my car on ground

A spoiler will do little for downforce, you need a wing for that.

#

or a diffuser and flat underbody

real wagon
#

i think wing do lift, which is upforce

carmine sentinel
#

turn it upside down and you have the wings used on high performance cars

i do agree on spoilers and front lips and side aero attachments

real wagon
#

i believe an up side down wing still do up force as my drones are using it, so a new part is needed

carmine sentinel
#

talking irl

#

I don't think a new part is necessary

#

We have agrav pads in-universe, what stops them from putting that tech into wheels to help push them into the ground more

real wagon
#

hyper grav pad you mean

#

i think an opposite of anti grav pad will be interesting

#

that pull instead of push terrain to the bot

carmine sentinel
#

Also, almost entirely irrelevant, but a good rule of thumb for irl
If you can fit your head between the airfoil and the tailgate of the car, it's a wing
If not, it's a spoiler
Wings primarily create downforce
Spoilers primarily spoil the airflow, reducing drag
Though both can inadvertently do either

regardless the most impactful changes would be systemic but it depends on brenns exact implementation can only say what i've noticed

#

but i do want spoilers / lips

#

also, downforce might not be all they need and once you add it there might just be other problems maybe but that depends

Maybe review this after trying the wheels in 1.4

#

i.e. right now

i would love wheels with centered attachment so we can make the car lower to the ground
