Sooo I have 25 mods for Subnautica installed in NMM but when I launch the game, it first launches it twice (but one of them just closes after loading), then I go into my save and no mods are working from what I can tell. Basically, it just launches a vanilla game. Do I need to use the "Launch Custom Subnautica" thing or something else?

I've also posted a reddit post about this and someone told me that Vortex has replaced NMM. I've never heard of Vortex before so hopefully it works next chance I get to make the switch

I'd recommend you check out the Subnautica Modding Discord server. First of all, last time I modded Subnautica maybe a year ago I was using a different mod loader, neither NMM nor Vortex. Secondly, there was a mass exodus of Subnautica modders from Nexus when they made archives permanent, so a lot of mods were removed from Nexus, so I'm pretty sure the Subnautica modding scene exists on that Discord rather than Nexus.

Second of all, I have no idea what that even means. If that's a different game, you're literally on Nexus Mods's Discord. If you search 'VR gorilla tag nexus', you might find something.
