it happens time to time with some skills also like dash etc.

it sounds like the flying glitch which occurs when you use a skill when jumping off the top of a ladder with specific timing. this is a known bug that hasn't been fixed yet, but if it occurs to you, quickly use any skill with vertical movement (backflips or teleports work too) to fix it and escape getting stuck
