#Need guidance on deciding on a main.

So, as the title suggests, I'm trying to decide on a class to main. Currently all I've been playing is swordian. I managed to get to level 1824, awakened and level 21 awk. So far, I like this class but I'm not sure it's entirely for me. The other character I've been playing is a WS and just got it awakened as well as the sub on it highlander.

So a little trivia, I used to main ruin walker(?) all the way back in OGP days and returned around 2-2 1/2 weeks ago to latale. All I have been doing is progressing with the burning quests. I've made the characters listed in the screenshot to try them out.

Basically all im asking is, what character out of these (and potentially a hero, windia and rainia) is a good main. At the moment, I really enjoy the gameplay of dagger WS and Blade master. the mobility is incredibly fun and they hit relatively hard, BM especially (for now I guess). The problem is, I was made aware that these classes are quite squishy and might suffer in the end game, so if I main them yeah sure I can go do the endgame but I might have trouble. I'm quite new to the modern latale as I come from the OGP days of latale where a lot of info has changed over the years.

Right now though, I'm still trying to figure out what I like. swordian to me is strong and can survive. But it doesn't match my playstyle in terms of mobility.

I like a class that is flashy, strong and mobile. WS, BM and SS have caught my attention, though i know two out of three of those might have trouble in the endgame (not sure about SS).

If possible, can I get some more info about;

  • Savior
  • Dark Chaser
  • Rogue Master
  • Star Seeker
  • Rainia
  • Windia
(though the ones im most interested in right now is BM, SS, Rainia, WS)
I'd like to know how well these classes perform, if they are mobile, strong/tanky or fun.

Another question I'd like to ask is, are alts dead now? Like is it profitable to play multiple classes to get more loot? Not including ely since I know ely dungeons is 1x daily account wise.
If its nice to have alts, then I might get away with playing multiple classes, maybe.

sorry for the long long format :( i am in desperate need of advice

also, i do have a lot of info on BM thanks to Rime, though i wonder if its a good character to main lol

Will not recommend Dark Chaser, pretty underwhelming right now and does not get much buff in near future (KLT)

In my opinion choosing BM as main is not a bad idea, it might take you a while to get used to all the movement but once you know what you're doing being squishy is not that much of a problem.
Then again, a lot of classes are considered squishy but are pretty good at clearing endgame dungeons, every class can be strong while properly geared the only difference is that you have an easier time progressing with some of them.
Speaking about end-game dungeons any class that is not savior/terror knight/swordian/sefirot will be considered squishy because no one can really tank hits on high level dungeons all the time so you will have to learn how to kite and deal damage while doing so.
About the classes you asked about in my opinion:
Savior is one of the strongest and most reliable classes right now, for some reason Actoz loves buffing this class and it's been meta for a good while now, it saves a lot of resources by simply being able to survive a lot of the times while other classes might consume all of your pots/res, from what you said though I don't know if the play style would be of your liking since it's a bit static and you mostly press one skill called power grind (spin to win).
Dark chaser has some of the hardest hitting skills in the game and I actually don't know how good or bad it is at the moment but not a lot of people play it which leads me to think it hasn't gotten that many good changes, the main problem it has had is it's lack of utility with the skills that allows classes to survive in endgame dungeons which makes it not reliable to clear dungeons where mobs obliterate u in a moment
Rogue master I'm pretty sure you have heard from deserve since she has been talking about it, it hits pretty hard, it probably got some of the highest DPS at the moment but it is reallyyyyy squishy and in order to be able to clear dungeons without eating all your res pots you gotta become really strong something that might take a really long while
Rainia is really strong, not as good as it used to be but it is a pretty solid class with immunities and shields here and there on it's skills which allows it to survive, I use it to clear endgame dungeons still
Star seeker I cannot talk about, I've never played it
And windia is okay, I think it's kind of at the same spot of blade master, it is a super fast class because it has that movement speed passive from the gauge and u might probably like it but I haven't seen anyone playing it recently

#

From all the things you said I'd recommend you to play either BM/Rainia, you could play both but one is physical and the other one magical andddd you would have to get good gems for both (mag/phys)

#

As for alts you could play more characters probably for more daily exp but there's not really an utility to play that many besides also having a wind stalker to farm Ely dungeons

#

If for some reason you want to have more alts to specifically clear end-game dungeons you should stick to one class, you will not want to make more than one weapon with how expensive it is

@round thistle damn. thanks for the info. so about Savior. i have been trying it out and mace seems fun i guess, the spin2win move is so braindead and hilarious. i suppose i shouldve clarified a little more about mobility. swordian for me is just literally sit still and spam skills. thats the thing that bugs me. savior at least can move around a little bit, either it be through the spin move, or just dashing inbetween combos because if i remember the dash does knock up enemies.

im not gonna completely abandon my swordian character because when i made that character, i selected judgement as the sub... primarily because of my old memory thinking that judgement was really good back in the day and SS kind of sucked. but now that i have seen gameplay of both i want to switch it to SS lol.

on the topic of sefirot. is this class popular at all? i usually dont see nothing about it when i search online. ive seen some awakening gameplay on it and to me it looks like BM but just straight hands and does look quite fun to have.

but from what you've said. is it wise to decide changing mains now or wait until im around awakening level 80-90 to have all the skills unlocked at the same time to give a good judgement?

i just so happened to come across this video yesterday https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kMzdrayVrc
which showcases all classes awakened. Hero sword, BM, savior mace, sefirot, WS dagger, gatekeeper are the main classes that i liked looking at because they look fun to play.
as for subs, highlander in that video i know that its not like that ingame. its the 7k update i think that upgrades HL. as for the other subs that i liked are TK, RM, SS and rainia.

those type of classes are the ones that i might enjoy playing. but after seeing this vid, im not sure whether to wait until awak lv80 to decide or decide now so i save up resources, etc

honestly sefi is not popular at all right now

#

you're better off going like BM, Rainia, SS, or Savior

#
