#What setting causes this graphical issue in Avowed?

Getting weird lines/hatching/screen-door effect in shadows (particularly in hair), flat parts of ground, and water & wave splashes. I can make it worse or lessen it with various combinations of settings (shadow quality, scaling type etc) but I can't get rid of it completely. When its really noticeable I can also see an afterimage of my character's arms or body on the ground as well, which happens in both 1st and 3rd person. In 3rd person, if I manage to position the camera so I'm looking through leaves on a tree an I move the camera I can also see the afterimage of the leaves on the ground.

I've no idea whats causing it and its ruining my immersion 😬 .

On PC and my general specs are Ryzen 5 with a Nvidia 3060 12GB VRAM

Turning up your sample size should fix it or at least make it much better

apolgies it fixed it for me

If I turn off upscaling all together it gets rid of any crosshatching as well but it also makes everything in focus which gives me motion sickness
