#Is it worth upgrading an old game to 4.0?

I would answer your questions with another question. What are you hoping to achieve?
I started making games with Godot 3.5 and have gone back and updated them all as new versions of 3 have been released up until 3.6 (and will move them to 3.7 if it ever gets released). That was really just to take advantage of bug fixes and have them use a version of Godot that was still getting some support. I never found it hard to do, so I would suggest it is definitely worth you doing it.
I tried upgrading one of my old games to Godot 4.3. The automated system does some of the work for you but you still have to go through your code manually to fix issues and frankly after spending a couple of hours trying to hunt down the source of multiple glitches I gave up. It is definitely doable but will take a lot longer than just upgrading to 3.6.1 and may involve having to restructure parts of your game to fit the changes from 3 to 4, like the different TileMap system. It might be a good way to learn the differences between 3 and 4 though.
Personally I have decided to leave my older games in 3.x and make a fresh start in 4.4.1 for my new projects.
its not worth. Its a lot of effort especially if you old tweens. gigantic effort. And then stuff still breaks. dont.
Google it... I had an interesting thread about a tool about 4.5 weeks ago that supposedly works very well and fixes all bugs, possibly in the Godot forum... or Reddit...
