In this post, I'm sharing progress on my open-world game in Godot, set in a Dragon Ball-style sci-fi anime universe. I’ve managed to boost performance to 100 FPS and added the ability to fly around the world like Goku! With terrain deformation and improved foliage, the game world is becoming more alive. It’s a thrilling experience so far, and I can’t wait to show you more of what’s coming next!

Looks really crazy.

I would adjust the player's distance off from the camera since when it goes too fast it can be hard for the player to detect where they could stop. Make the circle distance away like few centimeters away from the camera offset so it doesn't fly too away

There are 8 biomes, and each biome has at least 2 variations of foliage. That part is finished, and I’m very happy with it. The LOD in the distance still looks a bit weird, but that’s due to the billboard shader. Performance is good, not amazing, though. 100 FPS would be ideal, but I’m getting around ...
