#Y Sorting and Tilemaps

So let's say I have a scene, with a TileMapLayer node, and a character. I have Y sort enabled on the root scene. Is there an easy way to have the character always be rendered above the tilemap, or do I have to set the tilemap's origin somewhere way up every single time?
