Morning Godot fans, I would like to create the same mechanics for a cuphead 2D platformer, fan based game. Some of the things I would like to great a grip of are as follows:

  • Solid 2d platforming with collision based physics.
  • Exploring Godot's tilemap system
  • Onion skinned sprite based animations
  • Simple enemy AI
  • Create my own, quirky based music, intending to use Bitwig as my primary DAW and a few VSTs
  • Save and reload screens
  • Coyote time
  • one way collisons
  • Enemy and player vfx.
  • Screen vfx shaders including chromatic aberration, and a CRT monitor effect, Vingette and color grading.
  • Cartoon based particle effects
