19 years in programming, with a focus on game development. c, python, lua, rust, haskell, and others.
over 2 years in godot. i have a thorough understanding of gdscript and godot's api.
experience as a godot tutor. some references are provided below.
experience in both 2d and 3d game programming. i personally prefer 3d but i can easily work in either.

game design

passionate about making games. nearly 3 decades in game development. i've worked with just about every game engine there is.
consulted on the successful development of a board game design course taught to high school students. this is an ongoing, multi year project, but we're satisfied with the coverage the course provides.
wide knowledge base regarding game design. juice and haptics, gui design, visual arts and character design, game balancing, the works.

additional applicable skills

mathematics! i know a ton of game specific mathematics, and studied advanced mathematics at university. trig, linear algebra, calculus, geometry, the works.
some experience as team leader during the development of a game in unreal engine.
extensive knowledge on, training on, and experience writing adventure stories / hero's journeys.
extensive knowledge about procedural generation methods and practices.
knowledge and some experience writing shaders.
experience using ai to create quality concept art for games. examples of my work available upon request.
experience in graphic design. especially in making documents look aesthetically pleasing. this would easily transfer to website and gui design.
extensive experience troubleshooting and problem solving in a wide variety of situations, especially in programming.
extensive experience performing research and documenting my findings.
friendly and agreeable. i work well with teams.
