#Project cannot be edited (but can be ran?) in SteamOS/SteamDeck

I recently ported my Godot project folder to a SteamDeck to work on it from this device too. From the Project List I can "Run" the game fine but, when I open the project to actually edit, I come across this error and the files cannot be loaded. Any idea why? I'm stumped, because I can run the game itself, but not edit it? There must've been a step I missed? I just uploaded to GDrive and now downloaded here for my own convenience.

As you can see in pic 1, even images like icon.svg have a ❎ as if they were unreadable, and trying to open a .gd file does nothing. On the other hand, as per pic 2, I can perfectly run the game itself from the Project List flawlessly, which I find odd.

found a workaround: Installing from the Discover app... I'm guessing somehow the Steam library version installed is the Windows one? Is there a way to change this?
