Yo, so I'm also very new to game development, and somewhat better than begineer level on python and C++, and I gotta say you don't really need any coding experience to make games. This is just me, but what I did is I picked an idea for a game (this could take a while) then I just figured out how to make it using video tutorials and the docs! Have fun with your journey!
