Pronouns roles everywhere are leftover by now. You can easily set pronouns in your profile settings, it will show under name then, dosent requires nitro.
This change would effective dosent do much but makes roles area on profiles less cluttered therefore I expect it to be low priority. Overall it is pretty small thing but you know, large thigs are just collection of small things.

I'm in favor of this. By now the feature is rolled out worldwide to all clients, with old clients getting the "your version is not supported, please update" message.

I'm still running a pre pronouns version on my phone to avoid the bricking update, and I haven't gotten an unsupported message yet.

I've been in a server that had one of those, but it was like, a huge radio channel server that was partnered with discord. I can't remember if this server is a community/partner server or not.

People use discord to talk to very different and separate groups of people. IRL friends/acquitances, work/hobby related, extremely personal and private groups. You may not always want one group to know something about you, while letting the other group know. I rarely see people use discord pronouns and dont use them myself, because Im not out to everyone at once. nevermind lol
You can put the pronouns in your name, yes, but you could do that even before discord introduced pronouns. People still decided to show pronouns using roles rather than names, so there's probably a reason for that.
I personally don't see a big problem with having duplicate information and would prefer it over lack of peoples ability to show said information

And I don't know if it's a nitro thing or not, (might be) but I can have different pronouns on a per-server basis
It might be related to server profiles tho, which is a nitro feature

the new system is not anything to do with nitro. The next time we go through the roles etc as part of server clean up they will most likely be removed

The pronoun field is per-server, you don't have to set it globally
