In project settings you can make it stretch when you change the window size under display > window, the settings under stretch are what you're after, mess with it a bit till it works
Tried changing the viewport stuff drastically and nothing changed
My stretch settings stuff are the same though. Like I've tried mixing and matching. But I also have no idea what they really mean
can you maybe send a screenie of the issue
Another place to check is the camera's settings
