This channel has the wrong name, I think.

By the title, it gives the impression that it's meant for telling "war stories", or for giving tips about working in the industry. But I'm often redirected there when discussing the broader concept of games as products, which while it does make sense, isn't a topic properly delivered by the title.

And if I - a regular of the server who's been here for five years - have trouble parsing that, what of newer users, who then need to go through the embarrassment of being redirected to a channel they didn't know they were supposed to be in?

Agreed here, always had trouble figuring out what exactly that channel was meant for.

While i agree channel's name might not make sense at first, i'd personally like to keep it that way. We already lost Spatial, which was replaced with generic Node3D, let's not make things boring even more please

For me the "broader discussions about games as a product" aren’t on topic in there. When that channel was created it was mostly intended to discuss work ethics in the industry, emotional and mental pressure one fan feel as a gamedev, etc… A lot of the discussions that now take place in #surviving-gamedev should arguably be held in #business instead
