Skill changes will be listed below:

  • SKILL CHANGE (Heavy Shoves) Brawler - Shoves and Kicks now deal damage. Veteran skill causes Shoves and Kicks to stumble/knockdown zombies for a longer amount of time.

  • SKILL CHANGE (Foreman) Steadfast - Damage taken while performing attacks is reduced by 25 percent. Veteran skill increases damage reduction while performing attacks to 50 percent.

  • SKILL CHANGE (Hitman) Brutal - Blunt weapons deal 25 percent more damage. Veteran skill also makes Blunt Weapons cost 30 percent less stamina when attacking.

  • SKILL CHANGE Rush - Two Handed Melee Weapons consume 20% less stamina when attacking. Veteran skill increases effect to 40% less stamina consumed when attacking.

  • SKILL CHANGE Butcher - Sharp weapons deal 25 percent more damage. Veteran skill also makes Sharp Weapons cost 30 percent less stamina when attacking.

  • Zombie crowd control effects are now categorized differently: Heavy stumble pushes zombies away and lasts slightly longer than a shove stumble, knockdown will knock zombies over, and Light stumble is equivalent to the current shove.

  • Zombies are no longer knocked down by kicks; instead, they are afflicted with a heavy stumble effect.

  • Kicks can now hit multiple zombies more reliably. Zombies afflicted with heavy push effects will cause zombies they collide into to suffer a light stumble effect.

  • Players can now grapple zombies and instantly kill them via a short animation. This can only be performed while using Backup Melee Weapons (Mallet and Knife). Backup Melee Weapons cannot perform normal attacks and they MUST be used via kill animations to actually kill zombies. Backup Melee Weapons only cost 0.25 kg of carry weight. All kill animations are 4 seconds long and cost no stamina.

  • The knife and mallet are now referred to as “Backup Melee Weapons”.

  • Gene Therapy now causes the player to become immune when used. Gene Therapy no longer requires two uses and now has an appearance similar to NMRIH 1.

  • Adrenaline Booster is now green and grey to appear differently from Gene Therapy.

  • Child zombies now appear like in NMRIH 1.

  • Child zombies aren’t much of a threat by themselves; as they don’t deal as much damage per hit as their similar adult counterpart. Child zombies prefer to travel in small packs instinctively (they spawn in small groups of 4-5).

  • Child zombies carry a much weaker airborne strain of the virus that isn’t potent enough to make it past the immune systems of adults (cannot infect).

  • NEW PASSIVE ITEM Shoulder Mount - A mounting device for the flashlight that allows it to be attached onto the shoulder area of clothing, allowing it to be used without the need to be held at the same time. The mount also includes a battery backup that causes the flashlight’s battery to last much longer (indefinitely).
