If I open the game on Steam after EAC says waiting for game, Steam will open its window about launch game with custom arguments
it says -epicsandboxoverride=f8bf474b836f4303ae3ac469ebe5f447 and asks if I would like to launch it like that, cancelling will close the game and agreeing will launch the game again and the process will repeat. Each repeat of the process adds another -epicsandboxoverride to the request. Not sure what kind of issue this is with the epic games crossplay or something. Any fix based on running the game as admin, reinstalls or verifying of files and restarts have failed. Thanks!

that was my issue before the latest patch. I'd contact support and talk to them. SInce when they patched it a couple days ago my game worked fine

An antivirus can prevent EAC from starting even without triggering an alert, you may disable it and try just in case
