Not sure why, but the zombie slap melee seems bugged. There have been many times a match when attempting to run around zombies, where I see them preparing to melee so I sprint away and around and am still hit despite being an entire car length away from them. I've confirmed with several other people in matches played that this is an issue for them as well.
