same happened to me yesterday

Accidentally hit a barrel with a mallet once (zombie was near it and the multihit got the edge of the barrel).
Ended up with em going up in flames after an explosion that seemed like a nuclear bomb

No need to hit it with force actually, shoving a zed near it will do too. That's how I got myself and another player blown up at Sluice Gate once, thankfully 2 other guys were close to grab us.
