wrapping any means around any/all 4 limbs to prevent bites, once being grappled in any way, shape, or form. (for example, covering x limbs with newspapers/magazines from a trash can, and wrapping it all up with any duct tape you come across as well) All coverings will have a durability rating.

gruesome chance to amputate a bitten limb by a set amount of time, or the infection has gone too far into your system. (it will just be a failed amputation attempt, if you get past the time limit, and you die and turn anyway.)

  • Depending on the severity of a bite, you and others can easily notice that wound dug into your bleeding skin or partially ruined clothes.

  • Buddies can also amputate for you.

  • You will obviously scream during amputation. It's gonna hurt. And that's not gonna stop the dead from hearing and approaching you.

  • After amputation, you must use NOT ONE, but up to 5 bandages, MAX, to stop the excessive bleeding. If you take too long to resolve this, you will obviously bleed out enough, die, and reanimate within 5 mins or so.

  • 50/50 chance between still standing consciously after amputation (with dizzying effects, screaming, groaning, and such) OR passing out post-amputation. (passing out mid-amputation won't be considered, as it'll just be annoying, and you're better off offing yourself from a failed amputation attempt that's been dragged out quite long.)

  • With missing limb(s), obviously comes limited capabilities. (mobility, speed, ability to even move/walk/run, having to be carried by another buddy/buddies, overall use of arms/hands or legs, less recoil control if shooting one-handed, set amount of time stuck with dizzying effects while fighting or moving, etc)

  • Additional danger : For as long as you remain bleeding out, zombies will start smelling and following your whole trail of blood. This can obviously risk not only yourself, but also others that are around you, as y'all will keep getting overwhelmed by approaching thirsty/hungry hordes.

hostile NPCs (bandits, military, other survivors, etc)

friendly NPCs (military, other survivors, etc)

NPCs that can decide to turn on you at any time (same from above, etc)

friendly-turned-hostile NPCs, and/or hostile NPCs scripted to lie/deceive when coming across other players (can be even more fearful, if they've killed one of your guys out there, and they meet up with you, coming up with a story while secretly planning your murder/ambush or lead you to a murder/ambush)

forgot to add on passing out post-amputation : you obviously will wake up within a few mins or so, and have to catch up to and find your team. (you're in more luck if you still have a walkie-talkie on you)

after post-amputation, you can still pass out at any given moment, if you physically exhaust yourself (by shoving, running, or jumping excessively without breaks, for example). Use the dizzying effects as an indicator/constant warning to restrain yourself. The effects get worse if you don't, your vision gets more blurry, you start blinking slowly, labored breathing, abnormal heartbeat, etc.
