This is GameCoaster.
Along with the general release of Season 0, we are preparing for the pre-release of Season 1.
Season 1 will add the Fall of the Heroes as the main content.
A Hero's Corruption begins with the capture of a Hero in battle who has a corrupted aura,
Place them in a torture chamber, where they will be tortured by monsters as they progress through the stage.
After the torture is complete, the tortured hero can be placed in any of the Corrupted Hero slots, and they can be deployed,
Deployed Corrupted Heroes can be summoned to the battlefield at any point during the battle.
Once summoned, a Corrupted Hero cannot be re-summoned until several days have passed on the stage, much like a Goddess Advent.
Unlike normal Heroes, Corrupted Apostles can be placed in a Monster Slot, and they can't be recalled,
has the same skill structure as any other monster placed in a monster slot.
These Corrupted Heroes will not die after a Game Over or end of play.
When returning to the Demon Realm, they are sent to the Demon Realm with their enhancements reset and are automatically inherited.
Corrupted Heroes will gain experience and level up based on your participation in the game (except for Corrupted Apostles).
With content like this, even with multiple playthroughs
We're working on content like this so that you can enjoy collecting and enhancing your Corrupted Heroes.

Hey have a general curiosity for the game anything to note before I start off
Uh, the game is $5, it's not F2P. I think that's really the most pertinent thing to know.
The gameplay is essentially that you start off with one monster (later two) and defeat waves of enemies attacking your devil stone (base). Monsters full recover after each wave. You can use devil stones to unlock new skills and prisoners to upgrade your skills. Upgrading an active skill with 3 attributes lets you unlock a master skill that replaces it using another devil stone.
You control only your starting monster, the others attack automatically. You can eventually have up to 5 monsters fighting for you. Completing difficulties with each monster gives you special rewards you can use for meta upgrades. There are also a few types of farmable currency that can be used for various things, and after collecting the one time rewards for each difficulty these types of currency become the rewards for boss waves (quite a bit of them too).
You'll want to unlock the codex as soon as possible (it's an early upgrade) as well as the "bring another monster with you" upgrade (again, also a fairly early upgrade). The codex will be vital to understanding what the hell everything does/can do. There's a lot of various builds you can make with the monsters and going over them all would take too much time, but basically once you get familiar with each monster's kit you'll have a good idea of how to build them. Most monsters only have like two good builds (there are 5 active and 5 passive skills for each monster and you can select up to 3 of each per run).
The general strategy is to focus on getting devil stones and gold in world 1 and 2, then start shifting to devil stones and materials in world 3, and then by world 4 you pretty much want to be getting materials all the time because the amount of materials you get increases with each world.
Otherwise, there is no particular best character to start with because you will be able to unlock them all eventually. I recommend Diablo given the current meta though. She is probably the most versatile and fairly strong even by herself (Kraken is maybe a bit stronger by herself but doesn't slot in as neatly to as many comps).

My advice applies specifically to Dungeon Squad
Dungeon Maker is a game with the same aesthetic but plays very differently
You basically set rooms and place monsters in them and heroes try to go through your dungeon, defeat your monsters, and then defeat you the dark lord
The first one plays a lot like Dungeon Squad but has a bit more of a classic fantasy aesthetic rather than being all girls

All of them are good games though with a lot of content.
I think Dungeon Maker is more complex than Dungeon Squad though, at least right now

a lot of the bug fixes came from the players in the DS server
infact the recent one about characters firing speed was thanks to one player who broke down that skills get locked out due to firing speed
as in, Cerberus with her main gun and explosive bullet, she can only ever fire one bullet at a time of each skill not both at the same time... the game moved so fast you don't notice that but it's there

Abundance is a pure physical character looking at her kit from the screenshots everyone is sharing, she even has a physical convert where all fire, water, acid, and lightning get 30% physical damage

Admittedly I haven't been grinding for dimension crystals specifically but I beat holy for every monster already

So word of advice Navi do not go crazy and level up formations too too early
Cause all the corrupted stuff is unlocked with World Fragments
and the Formations are also using World Fragments
i'd suggest leveling up command post to max, and just taking Salvo and Elemental formation and maxing those two out since those are basically the best ones

the real issue with the Apostle unit is that it's actually semi not possible to level up her skills
you can't pick her as your starter so you can't increase her skill levels UNLESS you buff her to the point she gets 50% skill exp for being a partner... which requires maybe 200 abundance thongs

they did make trials easier and also they made all the tasks for Season 1 to get the new Season Pass skin for Titan much easier
on release which was yesterday they had it to where you are forced to do 8 trails to get her skin... that's already a stupidly difficult challenge
They lowered it to where you only need to now do 4 i believe
which is much more realistic for everyone
and also apparently the new "Corrupted" trial buffs up the stage 1 hero's to be as hard as heroes from stage 4

I mentioned this earlier but recently it was discovered that skills are locked to a fire rate to where you can't use every skill all at once
you needed to do one skill at a time so like... Cerberus for example, she will only fire her main gun once, then her fire bullets, then back to her main gun... but never at the same time
the game moves so fast you don't notice it, but it was found there's a hard cap to skill usage... They recently removed thst cap so now all your attacks are not slowed down by the frame rate

Sacrificing increases monster active skills lvl to give it a bit more damage
And getting a bad temp is sometimes unavoidable if you really want to take the monster it’s connected to

Eventually you will unlock the ability to transfer temperaments from newly captured prisoners to existing monsters, which helps to reduce this issue. Generally speaking though I would say it's not really worth waiting for a "good temperament" most of the time just because that is time you could be spending actually upgrading the monster if you had it.
I'd say maybe the one exception to this would be the villager temperament: avoid that one if you can.
Its effect is basically that your monster has a chance to get a random skill attribute whenever you upgrade another skill so it can ruin your build

I don't have a strong preference either way tbh. I think normally I go with vampire axe for healing but sometimes I decide to do the lightning axe master for lava axe for ricochet
Lighting I usually take the one that adds physical damage so that I can get more flame damage when I take the convert
Plus I usually take the hell flame attribute that decreases dark damage with diablo

Just make sure you grab both Duration attributes
Blood Orb tends to vanish fast but it has a stupidly fast fire rate
And you can also run Tsunami and give everyone cold damage on their physicals
Or even give Wave Orb Ricochet
Actually alleviates Blood Orbs duration with Ricochet cause now all the bullets will bounce off something
Pegasus should be built ATK focus to also benefit from Physical Dark Acid convert so
