Most multiplayer games are designed to extract attention. We’re building one designed to be mastered.
It’s a stylized platform fighter — 2 to 8 players, last one standing, vote-to-pick maps, and a movement system built around sprinting, dashing, spinning, and combat that actually rewards skill. The inspiration Super Smash Bros / Rumble Fighter, with the polish and feel of Fortnite.
No pay-to-win. No advantage you can buy. A new player with the default character should be able to beat someone who’s spent thousands, purely through skill. That’s the design core at the heart of it.
Smash worked because the fundamentals were perfect. We’re aiming for the same kind of staying power, a game people still play in ten years because the moment-to-moment feel never gets old.
VFX is what makes a hit feel like a hit. Every dash should leave a trail, every impact should pop, every elimination should feel earned. Stylized, snappy, readable, never noisy. If you have exceptional ability here we’d love to talk.
This is not a paint-by-numbers gig. You’ll be shaping core feel from the ground up, not polishing someone else’s work. We’re looking for people who obsess over details 99% of players will never notice explicitly but will absolutely feel.
What we expect:
• A portfolio with at least 2 exceptional examples
• Obsession with feel, polish, and detail
• Fast iteration, low ego, good taste
• Self-driven with minimal hand-holding needed
Compensation:
Contract-based with strong, competitive pay. Final number depends on experience, scope, and fit. We pay well for people who raise the bar.
