Building a school

Design West End Charter as a modern urban charter high school with a realistic inner-city atmosphere. The exterior should feature a large three-story brick and concrete campus with secure entrances, school banners, parking areas, buses, fencing, and a front courtyard. The layout should feel active and immersive while still organized and professional.

Inside the school, include wide hallways, detailed classrooms, a main office, guidance office, detention/ISS room, nurse office, library, cafeteria, auditorium, science labs, computer labs, locker-lined hallways, stairwells, and staff offices. The gymnasium should connect to full locker rooms, weight room, and an indoor basketball court. Outside athletics should include a football field with bleachers, practice field, track, and outdoor courts.

The surrounding area should match the school’s environment with nearby apartments, corner stores, streets, sidewalks, parking lots, and neighborhood details to make the RP feel realistic. Keep the design optimized for smooth gameplay while maintaining strong detail and realism.

Most multiplayer games are designed to extract attention. We’re building one designed to be mastered.

It’s a stylized platform fighter — 2 to 8 players, last one standing, vote-to-pick maps, and a movement system built around sprinting, dashing, spinning, and combat that actually rewards skill. The inspiration Super Smash Bros / Rumble Fighter, with the polish and feel of Fortnite.

No pay-to-win. No advantage you can buy. A new player with the default character should be able to beat someone who’s spent thousands, purely through skill. That’s the design core at the heart of it.

Smash worked because the fundamentals were perfect. We’re aiming for the same kind of staying power, a game people still play in ten years because the moment-to-moment feel never gets old.

Maps are where the game actually lives. Every fight should flow through space that’s been designed intentionally. Clean sightlines, smart verticality, intentional flow, no dead zones. Each map needs its own visual identity, stylized and instantly recognizable, while staying perfectly readable in the middle of an 8-player fight. If you have exceptional ability here we’d love to talk.

This is not a paint-by-numbers gig. You’ll be shaping core feel from the ground up, not polishing someone else’s work. We’re looking for people who obsess over details 99% of players will never notice explicitly but will absolutely feel.

What we expect:

Hey! We're building out Veil of War, a detailed MMORPG game. Think military and urban environments, gritty but clean, grounded but stylized. We're looking for a solid map builder to help us shape the world players fight through.

What the game is:
Veil of War is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. Maps need to work: good sightlines, smart cover placement, flow that supports squad-based combat. This isn't a showcase game, so we care a lot more about how a map plays than how it looks in a thumbnail.

The style we're going for:
Stylized realism. Military and urban settings, think bunkers, city blocks, industrial zones. Clean enough to read clearly in a firefight, immersive enough to feel real. If you've built anything in that lane, we want to see it.

What we need from you:

  • Experience building environments in Roblox Studio
  • A portfolio or examples of previous builds (required, no exceptions)
