so this issue only started for me this week. i will try to load the wand app, and it will say "open wand on your PC" but wand could be both open and active, but the app wont see it. i try reentering the code, doesnt link. i cleared the cache of the app, that didnt help. any tips that could help me fix this

Can you confirm for me which version of the app you are on? You can find it under the settings page!

Now disconnect
Try yours again and if the results are the same please follow these steps
Reinstall
- Use Add or Remove Programs or Control Panel to uninstall Wand.
- Find and delete these folders:
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Local\Wand
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Roaming\Wand - Restart your PC.
- Reinstall Wand by downloading from: https://wand.com/download
AV Exception
It's possible that your antivirus software is causing interference. Try whitelisting or adding exceptions for the following folders:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Wand
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Wand
i dont see a disconnect option on the app atm
