#Wand Wouldn't Load Nor Will It Install

I turned on Wand this morning to see 'an error has occured, please reinstall Wand'. I uninstalled it and when I click on the exe, it does nothing, even when trying to install it from an administrator.

Hey! Would you mind Clean reinstalling Wand?

Clean Reinstall Wand
Uninstall Wand via Add or Remove Programs or Control Panel to uninstall Wand.
Delete the following folders:
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Local\Wand
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Local\SquirrelTemp
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Roaming\Wand
Restart your PC
Reinstall Wand by downloading it from: https://wand.com/download

I just tried that and I tried disabling my anti-malware to no avail.

I tried logging into Administrator and installing it that way, same thing.

The curser changes like it's going to install and reverts back.
I tried some other installers, they work, I'm able to able programs, it just seems to be Wand.

Hello @quartz bronze Have you since tried restarting your PC. The reinstall steps if followed properly should have worked!

  2. Find and delete these folders:
    -C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Local\Wand
    -C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Roaming\Wand
  3. Restart your PC.
  4. Reinstall Wand by downloading from: https://wand.com/download

It's possible that your antivirus software is causing interference. Try whitelisting or adding exceptions for the following folders:

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Wand
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Wand

I'm having the exact same problem. I did anything that was recommended. I'm hoping I don't have to reinstall Windowsl that would be a chior and most cumbersome. Another person who has another SSD connected to the same PC, it works fine for them.
