#2-Hour Limit?

I've noticed the most recent change which limits users to only have 2-hours of Mod time.
However, I have not even opened the app at all today or last night and yet I've somehow reached the daily limit already?

I remember when WeMod was very proud of all the continuous growing support which helped make mods more easily accessible for free users while still having its limitations.
What happened to that?
It feels like biting at the hands that fed and supported you for so long...
I wholly understand if more limits need to be put in place to make PRO have more of a meaning, but I personally think that there are better ways than this.

Please at least try to prompt user feedback and suggestions so we can all work together on a better solution.

Hey @halcyon hemlock! We hear you and we appreciate the thoughtful feedback.
Regarding the timer running without you opening the app, that's not expected behavior. The timer should only start when you hit Play in the app.

On the broader point, we understand why this feels like a step backward and your suggestion about seeking community feedback on better solutions is genuinely well taken. Your feedback has been passed along to the team.

Thank you!
I was also very confused because I had just turned on my PC and the timer had already ran out the moment I opened up WeMod. No amount of restarting is seeming to help it either.

A couple suggestions I have as possible things to help keeps some features free, but make WeMod Pro still important is

  • Utilize ads more; as annoying as it may be, possible "break times" where mods are temporarily paused for the duration of an ad(s).
  • Only a very limited amount of mods can be active at once.
  • Possibly only one or two games can access mods in a single day.

as much as these limits would still hinder free users, the whole point should be to make PRO have the absolute freedom while free users get a limited portion of usage while not outright cutting off access altogether; make it so free users are still interested in coming back, which ultimately leads to interest in PRO perks, rather than seeming like an outright all or nothing decision 🧡

I also do not know if there is already one, but otherwise setting up a way for users to donate would also be nice too. There may be people who can't afford PRO or have already purchased it and still want to help support in some way/shape/form
