The majority of their user base does... Look at the most popular games on the platform, all of them are $70 games.
Also no, not everyone came for the mods. I came for the interactive maps because they are better than map genies (which are paid for free features here) and found the mods to be a plus. Just because you don't use them doesn't mean others don't. Not sure what nitro has to do with anything, generally those deals cost the company nothing because Discord eats the cost assuming people will subscribe (forget they are signed up) to nitro after.
Why do you think a company should give stuff away completely free?
