#app not opening, updating and the installer not working

i have tried to open the app since 1 may but my pc doesnt open the app (no error message) so i thought lets run the updater sadly that gives me the same result then i decided to maybe i need to use the installer again so i downloaded the installer freshly from the website and that also doesnt even want to open to me no error no message nothing.

then i decided may using the run command will it work and sadly that also did nothing

i also tried using the epic store version and that one does download but doesnt launch it says "launching" for not more than a few seconds before reverting to "launch"

as i said not even the installers are working also did that on another pc to and that pc still doesnt have wand back on it (this was a couple of months ago) but because that isnt my main pc i didnt continue with it but now im using my main pc and its not working

that was the first thing i did when i first installed the app (this was when it was still WeMod) i also have turned of realtime scanning

i had to factory reset the PC I was on and then it worked because I had no idea how to fix it, I'm sure you don't want to do that so I have no clue how to fix it, try asking another mod or just doing that, it might be malware since you said you turned off real time scanning, download malwarebytes and scan (windows defender is unreliable)

Hello @weak basin Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about the experience! I can confirm McAfee isn't the most reputable antivirus it's well known for missing intrusions entirely and throwing out a lot of false positive alerts. We generally recommend Wand users on McAfee switch to something more reputable like Malwarebytes, Kaspersky, Bitdefender. Windows Defender is perfectly fine for the average user. If a proper clean reinstall doesn't help, there's very likely something in McAfee blocking Wand.

  2. Find and delete these folders:

That's completely up to you! Unfortunately we're very limited in what we can offer here. I'd suggest trying a program called Revo Uninstaller and looking for any residual Wand folders on your PC. Clear those out, restart, and give it another try. Nothing has changed on our end that could have impacted this. We only recommend this because McAfee is well known for causing these kinds of problems.
