- Use Add or Remove Programs or Control Panel to uninstall Wand.
- Find and delete these folders:
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Local\Wand
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Roaming\Wand - Restart your PC.
- Reinstall Wand by downloading from: https://wand.com/download
i tried that, i also have pro so im not sure what seems to be the issue. i dont have those folders it says to delete after uninstalling wand
Have you checked the local and roaming folders in your device?
And check if there's Wand or Wemod residual files to delete when you perform a clean reinstall.
i uninstalled and then searched "wand" to search for files to delete but i will try again
Try to copy the path and paste it to your File Explorer
i dont have any appdata files in that path so im not sure where they would be
Can you go to This PC > (C:) drive > Users and take a screenshot for me please?
Only if you're comfortable sharing it!
C:\Users\User\AppData
- try to paste this on the highlighted part
Hopefully! Please try and make sure the folders are permanently deleted and not just in recycle bin, as well as the exe file.
ok i will empty recycle bin and then restart!
do i need to add the game.exe manually again or does that not matter?
To confirm: Where did you purchase the game?
Steam
You can add try click Play on Wand first, and let me know if it's working now.
i did and its just stuck on loading again
Is this for Megabonk only or other games as well?
i only want it for megabonk i might try others later but not fussed
only want it for megabonk if that will get it working
i used to use it for borderlands 4 but that was ages ago
Can you please try these steps below? And let me know if there are any changes.
Verify Game Files
- Go to your Library.
- Right-click the game and select Properties.
- Go to Installed Files.
- Click Verify integrity of game files.
Launch Order
- Set Steam to Offline Mode
- Launch the game directly from Steam
- Wait until the game fully loads and you can move around in the game world
- Once in-game, open Wand and click PLAY to activate the mods
as in steam library?
Yes
ok will try that
no no thankyou so much for trying to help!!
it still just says loading and i tried stop timer to see if that did anything and it doesnt seem like it is
when i click play on first load up it says almost there and that it should take less then a minute to set up and thats when im just stuck on loading untill i use task manager to close
Still doesnt work btw
Hey @small pond! Sorry for the delayed response Pro tickets occasionally get buried in regular support which is why we always recommend using pro support! It sounds like something on your network or antivirus is blocking the app from downloading the required .dll to start the trainer. Being stuck on loading is a strong indicator of that, Could you confirm which antivirus you use and have you gone through your history to see if it's blocking any processes for Wand or Wemod?
I believe i do have bro, subscirbed way back and despite not using it kept paying 😅 ok it does seem likes its a firewall issue as recently another game stopped working. I have windows defender firewall, and i think my antivirus is kaspersky. Im unsure about using these apps as ive never had to before but ill have a look
Kaspersky has been a bit aggressive with the app lately, Here are some steps you can try as well!
It's possible that your antivirus software is causing interference. Try whitelisting or adding exceptions for the following folders:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Wand
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Wand
Get technical support for Kaspersky applications for home & business. Find instructions, video manuals and tools to solve top issues.
@small pond Here is a support link for kasperky which will show you all the steps you need to perform it correctly.
Oh ok thankyou cause i got no idea how to do that 😅 ill have a look at the link
it worked but then stops working, then i was able to get doom to work. so wierd
even when i have wand installed i have no wand folders in app data (Roaming or Local)
Hey @small pond They are likely hidden by default.
Open File Explorer from the taskbar. Select View > Show, then select Hidden items to view hidden files and folders.
