How do I disable the UI, intruding into my game?
Playing my game normally now there's crap on my screen.
It's not there due to any request or permission from me.
Sure as hell don't want a bunch of spam on my screen.
Also, thanks for the damn UI lagging out my game, no way to disable.

Word of advice, do not try to blame me for your UI &ull&hit.
Even Steam let's us disable their UI when there are issues.

Disable the Wand overlay, its in the app's settings.

Same mechanic as Steam, and equally as toggled.

Hey - I lead design here at Wand! If you open the overlay - there’s a settings button in the bottom right corner. There’s a setting to disable the nearby pins notification. Sorry for the trouble - it’s a new feature we’re working on.

If you don’t mind answering - can you describe the lagging issue more? And this will really helps us improve it - can you tell me what we can do to make you not disable this setting? Simplifying this notification/reducing frequency/etc.?

You don’t have to disable the whole overlay for what it’s worth @regal quartz. Of course you’re welcome to do so if you want but I think your issue is with the notification you have on screen.

Yeah, I just figured the overlay was adding to the lag, so it seemed reasonable to disable the whole thing. Totally get where you're coming from, as the Design Lead.

In regards to lagging, this puts me in uncharted brain activity territory.
Noticed most heavily in smaller not necessarily indoor areas while in combat(ish).
Best guess, the current script is getting overwhelmed.
It's checking/scanning too much during combat?
While it's working at it's best it seems to be a location identifier.

Would be more open to it if it was a choice based for the degree of help.

Imo, a new game (to each user) would be far more open for more help.
Currently in Cyberpunk 2077 and played it since release.
It popped up out of no where for me without warning, it was annoying.
Then the lagging hit and I couldn't figure out how to disable.

My suggestion is to 'offer a chance' to test your beta to pro/common or both.
Or make a post here in Announcements, I rarely get messages from here.
Could be my Settings, since I hate spam and disabled too much?
Don't think it's a Global Setting, since I get other Server's Announcements.

I'll experiment with it, since I see a Key to Enable or something.
It will be at least 24 hours before I can get back with infos.

That toggle is per game btw so you may have to disable it again on other games if you run into similar issues or find it annoying @regal quartz But please do write back with your thoughts on #1223700061922263070 if you have more thoughts later. I’ll look forward to it!

This is all super good feedback! And we do share updates on our beta channel for changelog / what was added but that might be something we can make more clear
