#Mods suddenly blocked by antivirus/firewall

Hi,

I’m having an issue getting the mods to run, and I’m hoping you can help.

On February 24, everything worked perfectly. I was playing Metaphor: ReFantazio with the mods enabled and had no issues at all. However, on February 25, the mods suddenly stopped working. I now receive a message saying that my antivirus or firewall is blocking the application.

I don’t have any third-party antivirus installed — I’m only using Windows Security.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Clean reinstall of the application

Added the following folders to the Windows Security whitelist/exceptions:

C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Wand

C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Wand

Made sure to run Wand as Administrator

Restarted my PC

Confirmed the game is fully updated

Verified that the game is installed through Steam

I am not using any other mods

The game is single-player

I also tried using the in-app “Report Issue” feature, but that did not resolve the problem.

Since it worked one day and stopped the next without me changing anything, I’m not sure what could have caused it.

I would really appreciate any guidance you can provide. Thank you very much for your time.

Okay it works now, here is what I did.

  1. Reinstall WeMod.
  2. Verify game files on steam.
  3. Run WeMod as administrator.
  4. Press play on the WeMod app.
  5. Then open my save.
  6. Then ALT - TAB and open WeMod and press play again in the app.

That made it work for me, I do hope you guys can find out why all the trouble happened from one day to another.
