Wand used to work offline, but now breaks every time, requiring a reinstall + wiping appdata folder

Hi,

I used Wand for a long while offline without issues. Now though, it tends to break at random when launched without an internet connection. Afterwards, it fails to load any of my games, even if the trainer was downloaded and worked fine before.

This is important to me, since I'm currently in a new house with my setup, but I don't have internet yet. So I'm making due with mobile data, which obviously have limits. I used that mobile data to redownload the app multiple times and redownload the cheat tables multiple times, since this problem keeps occurring. This is eating through my available data, so any support on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hey! Really sorry you’re running into this especially with limited mobile data, that’s definitely frustrating.

Wand isn’t designed to be fully offline. While you can launch and use trainers offline after they’ve been downloaded at least once, the app regularly checks in for updates and other services when it starts. If it’s launched without an internet connection, that can sometimes cause issues or prevent your games/trainers from working properly.

That said, we really appreciate you sharing this. We’ll take this as feedback, especially around offline usage, since we know situations like yours can happen.
