Vrising - Private Server

Morning all,

I noticed the Vrising setup instructions within the app state you have to choose solo play.
I run a private server on another PC on my house and therefore am technically connecting to an online server.

Is there any way to enable and use Wand in this scenario, or is it exclusively for local, solo play?
