#Wargame: Red Dragon not launching
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Hi @loud thunder, since you manually added the custom game .exe, try removing it from Wand first. Then, reinstall both the game and Wand to see if the game gets detected automatically.
After reinstalling, make sure to launch the game through Steam and load it fully (get into the game world) - this helps Wand detect it automatically when you open the app.
- Use Add or Remove Programs or Control Panel to uninstall Wand.
- Find and delete these folders:
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Local\Wand
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Roaming\Wand - Restart your PC.
- Reinstall Wand by downloading from: https://wand.com/download
I tried this, and it unfortunately did not work. I can't activate the mods while the game is open, as it requires the game to be launched by the Wand app, but then when I try to do that, it gives me the same message of 'We're having trouble finding or launching your game.' This is after both reinstalling Wand and the game.
Are you using any antivirus or third party modding tool along side Wand?
No third party tool, no antivirus besides Windows Defender. I have a friend with the same game, and it works fine for him.
Hello @loud thunder, can you try shutting down Wand and Steam from your System tray and run both as Administrator?
Just right-click the app icon and choose Run as administrator. If a pop-up asks for permission, hit Yes, and you’re good to go.
Unfortunately this did not work either. Hopefully a fix to this issue doesn't end up being super complicated.
Got it, I'll have the team check this and get back to you once they give any update.
Thanks!
Hi @loud thunder. Unfortunately, our testers were unable to replicate this issue on their end. The game is loading and functioning normally for them, and all mods are working as expected. This suggests the issue may be specific to your setup or configuration.
Kindly try a clean reinstall for both the app and game this time.
