- Use Add or Remove Programs or Control Panel to uninstall Wand.
- Find and delete these folders:
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Local\Wand
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Roaming\Wand - Restart your PC.
- Reinstall Wand by downloading from: https://wand.com/download
It's possible that your antivirus software is causing interference. Try whitelisting or adding exceptions for the following folders:
C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Wand
C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Wand
what?
i dont think i have those folders the thing isnt setup yet its just the download for the setup and its not working
Could you please share a screenshot of the installer you’re using? Also, can you check whether anything is being flagged or quarantined by your antivirus or security software?
If nothing appears after opening the installer, it’s likely that something on your PC is blocking it from running.
im using chrome?
ill try and get a clip of it
nvm it wont let me clip it
hold on
this?
Yes, If you right click it and run as administrator what happens.
nothing
it pops up the thing if i would want this to change something on my pc i say yes and nothing happens
Could you please try restarting your PC and then check your antivirus or security software to see if it’s blocking any related processes?
ive already tried restarting my pc many times i said that in the post message 😭
and the security antivirus stuff i dont understand so it might be something with that but i dont know anything about the antivirus stuff
It depends on which antivirus software you’re using, but there are plenty of support articles available that can help guide you through the process.
ive already tried looking it up on youtube and google on how to do it none of them make sense
and i go into my software and protection thing in my settings and it does not tell me which antivirus im using
what do i need to turn off in my virus protection stuff ?
Hi @small sparrow, you can try opening your Windows Security.
- Go to Virus and threat protection
- Scroll down (or maybe it's on the right side) and click Manage providers
That screen will show which antivirus is installed and active on your PC.
the antivirus is just microsoft defender
@west raft
Hi @small sparrow
Just to confirm, there’s nothing in your quarantine and nothing being blocked by a third-party application?
Unfortunately, we’re fairly limited in what we can do if the installer is being blocked by the system itself. You may want to try repairing your Windows installation or reviewing your quarantine and security logs to see if anything is being prevented from running.
