I’m wondering if there are any updates from the developers regarding the crash issue. My game began crashing after the update on 2025-11-18. Today two more updates were released — with 67 and 69 mods — but the problem is still there. The behavior has only changed slightly: it no longer fully crashes, but instead freezes until I click on the screen, and then I get the “wait or close the window” prompt.

I’ve followed all the suggested steps, and even tried additional ones: verifying game files, reinstalling the Wand app, and fully reinstalling the game.

As a paid member, I would really appreciate an official statement — something like: “We’re working on improving the trainer, here’s the issue we’re facing, and here’s what we have planned.”
I’m one of those players who only plays one or two games a year, yet I keep my Wand membership active to support the developers. That’s why the lack of communication feels disappointing.

So far, my only interaction has been my comment being removed with a suggestion to open my own thread — not exactly supportive.

Also, the “Report Issue” bot doesn’t provide the correct category. The closest option says the mod crashes while trying to launch the game, but according to your own instructions, we must launch the game first before launching the mod. It would be great if this could be addressed as well.

Playing On Xbox App.

Yes, my apologies — that was my mistake in the original description. I initially played Anno 1800 through the Xbox app, but after the release of 117 I was redirected to Ubisoft, so I subscribed to Ubisoft+. Since the Wand setup instructions reference the Xbox version, that detail stuck in my mind. In reality, I’m currently running the game on Ubisoft+.
For testing purposes, I also tried the Epic version, and I’m encountering the exact same crash behavior there as well.

Regarding the launch process: yes, I’ve reviewed the instructions thoroughly. I tested multiple launch sequences — launching the game first without loading a save, launching with an existing save, and even starting a completely new game. I also disabled the “Save Mods” option to rule out the possibility that the crash was caused by the trainer injecting too many instructions or hooks during initialization. Unfortunately, none of these adjustments resolved the issue; the freeze-and-prompt behavior persists across all clients.

And lets keep the conversation here, as the email takes way longer time to receive any updates.

Tried switching off overlay as well.

Hey Schikaka, Unfortunately we have been trying to resolve these crashing issues but due to the game anticheat its making it very difficult and users are seeing crashing because of it. You can try to switch to a previous version that wasn't crashing but there are no guarantee's it will work.

Thank you for the update. Unfortunately, the previous versions behave the same — I’ve tested around eight of them.
I really hope this issue can be resolved, because I genuinely enjoyed using the Wand app. In the meantime, I’ve found an alternative app of mods that works.

If you would like to talk to the creator directly you can post on here https://community.wemod.com/t/anno-117-pax-romana-cheats-and-trainer-for-ubisoft/373300/60

I would also try only keeping options on for a short period of time and try to keep values at their default.
