Is there an option within the mod settings that allows you to get coins within the game? I can only see the option for Dreamlight.

Hi! There is no option for that in the trainer to "get" additional coins. It only has the options for a "Won't Decrease" behavior, and this applies to money, items, Dreamlight, Mist and Storybook Magic

So would that give me coins or not? Is there any way this option can be added to the mods?

I believe this option only causes the currency to not decrease from its current value. But you can try using both Money Won't Decrease and Money Multiplier.
