Darkest Dungeon trainer not working

Title is self-explanatory. My DD experience with WeMod used to be great a few months back. It was seamless: I would launch DD through WeMod and it wouldn't even feel like I was playing with a trainer. However, WeMod no longer lets me launch DD, at least not the 64 bit version of the game. The only time the trainer works is when I launch the 32 bit DD executable first and THEN click 'play'. Even so, my game crashes before I load into whichever save I'm playing on. It should be noted that I'm playing with a lot of mods, though I don't see why the mods would be the issue since it used to be possible to run DD through the trainer alongside mods. How can I play 64 bit DD with mods alongside WeMod? Is it even possible anymore?

AV Exception

It's possible that your antivirus software is causing interference. Try whitelisting or adding exceptions for the following folders:

C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\WeMod
C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\WeMod

I don't use any antivirus software

I added both programs as exceptions in windows defender firewall

still no change

I've been trying to fix this for days, any help would be appreciated

Could you disable the Enable New WeMod Overlay via settings>Customization and check if issue persists?

Hey @night ivy Make sure to launch the game from Steam and select the 32-bit version first. Once the game is running, load your saved game and wait until you are fully in the game world. After everything has loaded, click the **Play **button in WeMod.

Right now, it looks like the trainer only supports the 32-bit version as per the set up instruction.

I understand

however the mods i have dont work on 32 bit

and the trainer used to work fine on 64 bit, so im wondering how i can go back to the old trainer without the game crashing

This is noted. Can you set your steam account to OFFLINE then check if issue persists on the 32 bit version?

I'm having the same problem as well. There used to be zero issue with connecting Wemod to Darkest Dungeon when run through Vortex, but now there is.

I am experiencing the exact same isue. Going offline on Steam didn't change anything

Something changed, and it's not the game, Cheat Engine works fine (but nobody wants to make a damn table for it, and I don't know how lol)
