You should only be in offline singleplayer when trying to use the trainer.

The trainer was just tested today with no issues, Have you since tried verifying your steam game files or reinstalled wemod?

Reinstall

Use Add or Remove Programs or Control Panel to uninstall WeMod.
Find and delete these folders:
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Local\WeMod
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Roaming\WeMod
Restart your PC.
Reinstall WeMod by downloading from: https://api.wemod.com/client/download

AV Exception

It's possible that your antivirus software is causing interference. Try whitelisting or adding exceptions for the following folders:

C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\WeMod
C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\WeMod
