we both got the game same time at launch on epic games
he's vanilla no mods, other than trying to get wemod to work

Have you tried launching the game initially and waiting until you can freely navigate within the game world before opening the mods by clicking PLAY on the WeMod app? If that doesn’t work, try launching the game first, and once you are on the main menu, open the mods by clicking PLAY again.

the issue is that wemod says "add game" and when clicking epic games it just takes him to the epic games store to buy the game when he already owns it

so wemod is failing to scan for the exe and if manually found half the cheats dont work, fresh installs don't help for some reason of wemod or the game

try to Verify integrity Files by right-clicking on the game and click Properties. Click on the Installed Files. Click on Verify Integrity of Game Files. Then force quit/close the WeMod App then re-launch the apps.

1.Use Add or Remove Programs or Control Panel to uninstall WeMod.
2.Find and delete these folders:
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Local\WeMod
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Roaming\WeMod
3.Restart your PC.
4.Reinstall WeMod by downloading from: https://api.wemod.com/client/download
