On WeMod, this is the only game that mods won't load on. I have tried many tips such as starting in offline mode first before launching, reinstalling the game, disabling anti-virus, etc. However, I do not think this is a launcher-wide issue as launching any other game in my steam libray will have mods work. It is specifically this game that when I click play it says "There was a problem loading the mods" and if I try to launch it through the app, the game itself can't recognize steam and won't load.
NOTE: I can fill out the whole form if needed, I just didn't think it would be necessary since it is particularly this game that refuses to work. I haven't used mods since September last year, but they worked fine back then and I've made no changes to my computer since then.

To assist you better, could you please share a few details?
-Where did you purchase the game?
-Are you using any other mods alongside WeMod?
-Are you using an official purchased copy of the game?
-Are you playing in single-player or multiplayer mode?
-Do you see any error messages?
-Just to clarify — are you able to activate the mods, but they're not having any effect in-game?
Bought on steam
No other mods
Official purchase
Single player, cant even activate mods after only loading into space rig
The only error message is not being able to LOAD the mods into the game
To clarify, i am NOT able to activate the mods or even get the toggle to do so, when I click the "PLAY" to activate mods button, it simply gives me the error starting with 'There was a problem loading the mods..."
1.Use Add or Remove Programs or Control Panel to uninstall WeMod.
2.Find and delete these folders:
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Local\WeMod
-C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Roaming\WeMod
3.Restart your PC.
4.Reinstall WeMod by downloading from: https://api.wemod.com/client/download
It's possible that your antivirus software is causing interference. Try whitelisting or adding exceptions for the following folders:
- C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\WeMod
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\WeMod
Ok I just let WeMod through AntiVirus and it didnt work. I reinstalled again and the same issue that only other games work but not DRG as it still has the same error when I click play.
Try verifying the game files on Steam (Library > right-click game > Properties > Installed Files > Verify). After that, set Steam to offline mode and launch the game. Let me know how it goes.
It still says this even though the folders are excluded from AntiVirus, I disabled the antivirus, I disabled firewall, I reinstalled WeMod, and I did the offline steps after verifying!
I just tried PEAK and the mods for that game work fine, it seems to be a problem particularly with DRG for me
Can you try launching the game from Steam and waiting until you're fully in and can move around? Then open WeMod and hit "PLAY" to activate the mods. Let me know if that works.
Hi, I've done that and it still doesn't work. I tried launching from the main menu to no avail. I tried launching after playing a bit to no avail also.
Is this trainer working for others? I am not understanding how this is the only trainer that doesn't work for me while all the other ones do.
I am considering reinstalling the game on a different drive but am unsure how that would help.
Please try adding the game's executable (exe) file manually to WeMod by following these steps:
- Open the WeMod app and click Add Game.
- Select Add Game Manually.
- Choose the platform where you purchased the game.
- Then drag and drop the game’s executable (.exe) file into the window, or click Add Game EXE to browse for it.
For example:
C:\Program Files\Epic Games\[Game Name]
Once that’s done, try launching the game again and see if WeMod detects it properly.
I couldn't figure out where to "add game", but I clicked in the settings for Deep Rock Galactic in WeMod, and while it already had the correct .exe, I still deleted it---confirmed it was on steam (where I bought it from), and re-pathed to the DRG's .exe and it still didn't change anything, same error.
So I tried launching the old mods from 6/18 and i didnt get the error but the mods didnt work, however this still makes me think it s a problem with the new updated mods list of 70, for some reason.
