Yes I would let it full load into the game and I'd wait atleast a minute then would try to launch mods

It's possible that your antivirus software is causing interference. Try whitelisting or adding exceptions for the following folders:
- C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\WeMod

  • C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\WeMod

Done and checked with other games like dead island both of the surge games and bigfoot

I got it to work i it's still finicky but I had to load into my save go back to the menu then launch mods then relaunch my save
