    I have WeMod set to run as an administrator, and I have it set as an exception from Windows defender as well as Windows firewall in case it was needed. To make support easier, both Steam and Nvidia overlays are disabled, and my game is currently set to simulated fullscreen. I had tried both windowed and fullscreen as well, with no change. I have also restarted my laptop.

It's just the overlay not showing up at all.

Not that I'm aware of. I have Steam and Nvidia overlay off.

It's possible that your antivirus software is causing interference. Try whitelisting or adding exceptions for the following folders:
- C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\WeMod

  • C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\WeMod

I added wemod itself to the exception list for Windows Defender and Windows Firewall. Is that enough to help?

Yup. Tried both combos and neither worked.

Nope, stable version.

And I tried turning the overlay off and on again.

It sometimes decides to work, but recently it just says no. It's been like this since yesterday, I think. Maybe since Thursday.

Apologies for the hassle. Please try to find and remove any WeMod-related files from your PC. Also, delete WeMod from the AppData directory and Squirrel from the temp folder. Then, restart your computer and attempt to reinstall.

Download and install the WeMod offline installer: https://api.wemod.com/client/download

Then try running the installer as an administrator to give it the necessary permissions. See if it helps.

It's still not working. I'm beginning to think my laptop doesn't like me XD

I've tried running it both before and during the game, but the overlay still doesn't work.

I also couldn't find Squirrel anywhere in the temp folder.

just to confirm, is your show hidden files enabled to your files explorer?

You can also simply delete the app via control panel and search for any wemod related files on your file explorer and delete it as well.

I still for the life of me can't get the Overlay to work. I'm going to change my graphics settings to see if it'll fix it.

Yup. That also didn't work. Removed the Squirrel file and everything

I'm just hoping I don't have to factory reset my PC to get it to work. I'm truly stumped, because it had been working fine a few days ago.

Then it just stopped.

The mods themselves work fine, but the overlay doesn't work at all.
