I tried it a few hours ago without doing anything and the mods worked fine but now I'm encountering the same problem again.

Although I don’t own the game myself, I wanted to suggest a potential workaround. If the game has a save slot feature, you could try creating a new save game and then attempt to use the trainer to see if it works.
