Yo I am new to using the support on Discord so bear with me. I have been trying to play DMC 2 in the DMC HD collection and I have DMC2 selected and I have been through all the troubleshooting steps and the game crashes whenever I start Wemod and or selct infinte health mod. Support request: game crash troubleshoot

I played them on Xbone a while back and now I am playing through all the games on my pc through steam using wemod just to save some time since i have a humongus backlog.

Hi! Try disabling the overlay before clicking Play on WeMod and see if that stops the crashes.

Also Wemod looks for the Version of the game you are playing, If you are starting a game that has a startup window, Try opening the game you are trying play then execute the Mods when loaded completely

I do that with almost every game I play especially this collection since you have to make sure you load the correct game you are wanting to play. It still crashes.

What I typically do is start the game up and then select DMC2 in the game and then I let the game load and I select the mission then once its loaded I pause the game then start Wemod and select the mods I want to use. The game crashes/freezes after I select the mods then when I quit Wemod the game is still frozen.

Does it crash only when using Unlimited Health? How about the other mods? Aside from setting the game source to Steam DMC 2, can you also check the mod version and make sure the latest one is selected, the one from April 2025?

Up at the top there is a set of icons, the 3rd one has what mod versions and latest mod are loaded

In borderless all you have to do is Alt+Tab to wemod and be sure that DMC2 is selected of course, and launch it and shift back to the game

even when i am in fullscreen i use ALT+Tab to go to Wemod and then select DMC2 then when i go back to the game after the mods load it crashes. So what would be the difference in fullscreen and borderless?

Yes..in the load-up menu..in options on DMCHD, change the window to borderless

Ok, once DMC2 loads in, alt tab to Wemod, launch the mods, and shift back to DMC2

it could be other variables also, try also to verify the files of your game and be sure nothing is missing or broken
