#Roboquest - crash when using Infinite Powercells

Previous versions work for unlimited health, speed and jump boost, but not powercells - I can at least play there. Using powercells on the new one causes similar fatal error. Steam version, Windows 10.

Can be reproduced by either getting powercell from Lottery Luke or by starting a run & beelining to the first purple area and grabbing a cell from there.

It's possible that your antivirus software is causing interference. Try whitelisting or adding exceptions for the following folders:
- C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\WeMod

  • C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\WeMod

done that and it doesn't crash now (yay) - first time I've ever had this with a game!

Unfortunately the cheat does not work - picked up 3 cells and spent 9 (started with 6) and now I can't do more with it

I wanted to suggest a potential workaround. If the game has a save slot feature, you could try creating a new save game and then attempt to use the trainer to see if it works.

I was able to reset my progress from the main menu. It crashed randomly while in mid level (just fighting enemies) after activating the powercell mod, I restarted the game, and it crashed when I tried to start another run, with this error:

Fatal error!

yeah, I turn it off every night
It's not a big deal for me and it won't stop me playing. More, I wanted to give information that might help fix it. Infinite health / wrenches are more than enough for any sort of play. The game is very short and power cells won't stop you from finishing it in a couple hours.

I know I did the appdata, what about the steam folder? anything to do with it? (not my wheelhouse)
